Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
