Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix discovered early that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her very first tryout. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her races.
